In metro Atlanta, women ages 25–44 make up the top three demographics living in poverty—yet less than 2% of charitable giving in the U.S. supports women’s and girls’ organizations. That’s why the Atlanta Women’s Foundation exists. Our mission is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of women and girls—because when women and girls thrive, families thrive, communities thrive, and we all thrive. Through strategic grantmaking, education, and community-building, AWF invests in women and girls as a proven pathway to economic mobility and stronger communities.

The Atlanta Women’s Foundation’s mission is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of women and girls and to end generational poverty.
